On a trauma healing journey...

You’re ready for the next step.

Buying another planner won’t fix this problem. Affirmations can’t make the gnawing feelings of doubt and insecurity dissipate. You can’t “achieve” your way out of this by setting new goals. Detoxing from social media, sugar, and caffeine or exercising more isn’t the answer. Self-care only goes so far if you don’t address the roots of the problem. It’s time to get to work.

Ground. Grow. Gather.

Post-Traumatic Growth Retreat

You’ve gone to therapy. You’ve worked on yourself. You’ve begun to heal your trauma...

You were so desperate to feel better, to heal, and to build your life out of joy instead of fear. But now that you have, you’re not sure what the next step is for your healing journey.

It’s time for you to ground, grow, and gather.

It’s hard to find the time to integrate your healing into your everyday life, and feel connected to others who have experienced something similar.

Trauma work is hard and you put in the work. You have this new nervous system and capacity to thrive, but you’re finding that it’s been harder than you thought to transition from surviving to thriving. You’re running into new issues and integrating your healing into your life is more challenging than you expected. You’re not alone.

This retreat you’ll get to feel the support and connection from other women who know exactly how you feel. You get to take an entire weekend to focus on you and your healing to allow you to ground, grow, and gather with like-minded women.

Healing from trauma can also mean strength and joy. The goal of healing is not a papering-over of changes in an effort to preserve or present things as normal. It is to acknowledge and wear your new life – warts, wisdom, and all – with courage.

Your Facilitator

Tina Kocol

With all the supports for high achieving perfectionist women out there, why choose this workshop? It’s because I designed this workshop using research about perfectionism and the needs I kept hearing my perfectionist clients, friends, and colleagues say they needed to figure out. I’m a certified group psychotherapist, international facilitator and trainer, and author of The Perfectionism Journal. My years of experience facilitating groups will help you get the most out of the experience, and I genuinely care about helping women to transition out of perfectionism ruts.

 Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

  • No. While I (Tina) am a licensed therapist, this is a non-clinical , psychoeducational workshop. That means while you may get therapeutic benefit from participating, I am not your therapist. As a workshop facilitator, my job is to provide and teach the information about perfectionism and facilitate a discussion for the group to help them benefit from and apply that knowledge.

While I am not your therapist, I would be happy to provide referrals of therapists to you if you decide to seek one out as a result of attending the group to continue to work on your perfectionism.

One last thing: While this isn’t therapy, I expect that any workshop participant follows the guideline of confidentiality. Workshops are most effective when all members feel safe to discuss and share their own experiences and I encourage all members of the workshop to keep the details and stories that others have shared in the group (Vegas Rule - What happens here, stays here).

  • All meetings will be held via zoom or google meet. Links will be provided once you are registered.

  • Life happens, or you had previous plans you can’t rearrange. No worries! It’s important to make sure you can attend the first and last group, and it’s hard to have good group dynamics if you’re going to miss more than two consecutive groups. If possible, let me know in advance if you will need to miss a week.

If you miss a session, I recommend following along in the workbook and coming to the next session with the workbook section for the current week completed.

Since the cost of the workshop is for the entire experience, I’m not able to prorate the cost if you’re planning to miss a group.
